Top 5 reasons to choose Hardox® wear plate

  1. CONSISTENT PROPERTIES
Every Hardox® plate, every direction, every time. No other plate has the same consistent hardness, toughness, thickness, chemical properties and workshop friendliness.
  2. CLEAN STEEL
Hardox® wear plate is entirely built up with a martensitic matrix. Perfect random orientation and small grain size, high purity and low amount of inclusions for guaranteed toughness, at low temperatures.
  3. LASTING VALUE
Hardox® is the strongest product brand for wear-resistant steel in the world. More than 40 years as a global market and innovation leader has created a unique position. Equipment produced with Hardox® wear plate has a higher value.
  4. CRACK RESISTANCE
The clean steel practice results in a very high crack resistance, resistance to impact, and exceptionally high-energy absorption.
  5. GLOBAL AND VERSATILE
Hardox® is the true global wear plate. It is available in stock on all continents and in more than 50 countries. From 0.7 mm thin to 160 mm thick. From the super-tough Hardox® HiTuf to Hardox® Extreme, the hardest wear plate in the world.

Hardox® HiTemp

Hardox® HiTemp

This is the wear-resistant steel for high-temperature demands. Hardox® HiTemp delivers extreme wear resistance at high temperatures ranging within 300°C–500°C range. While traditional quenched and tempered wear-resistant steels lose their hardness at temperatures over 200°C, Hardox® HiTemp maintains its hardness even at temperatures reaching up to 500°C. Its properties are achieved by using high-quality raw materials combined with a carefully controlled manufacturing process. Hardox® HiTemp has a hardness of 400 HBW at the time of delivery and is available between 5 mm–51 mm thick.

Hardox® 500 Tuf

Choose Hardox® 500 Tuf when formability and wear resistance are what you need. Hardox® 500 Tuf is an wear-resistant steel that offers both high performance durability and excellent formability. Hardox® 500 Tuf is the first 500 HBW wear plate with structural properties. It delivers extreme hardness and guaranteed toughness in a single wear plate. The material offers a 70–100% longer service life in comparison to conventional 400 HBW wear-resistant steel, and it includes improved dent protection. Hardox® 500 Tuf is available in thickness of 4 mm–25.4 mm and has a guaranteed impact strength of 27 J at -20°C in whole thickness range.

Hardox® 550 & Hardox® 600

With a nominal hardness of 550 HBW & 600 HBW respectively, Hardox® 550 & 600 are quenched and tempered materials that can drastically improve the service life of components in applications that demand a high/extreme resistance to wear. Products are available to suit a variety of specific applications or wear issues. Please get in touch to find out more.

Hardox® HiAce

This is a new steel that combines wear and corrosion resistance. Hardox® HiAce has been developed to withstand wear in low pH acidic environments. Equipment can come under attack from a combination of acids, sulphates or salts containing chlorides. Insidious and aggressive acids oxidizes the steel’s surface decreasing service life, loss of productivity and the need for increased maintenance.

Hardox® HiAce drastically slows the oxidation process whilst also performing to the same levels as a conventional 450 HBW wear resistant steel in regular environments. Guaranteed high toughness in low temperatures gives even more potential for most challenging applications. Available in a thickness range of 4 mm–25.4 mm, Hardox® HiAce prevails in conditions with low pH levels, increasing the service life of equipment up to 3 times longer when compared to a conventional 400 HBW steel.
