Wear parts and components made from Hardox® tubes and pipes

Abraservice manufactures wear-resistant parts and components using Hardox® tubes and pipes.

The wear-resistant properties of Hardox® tubes and pipes make them ideal for harsh service conditions, where strength, wear performance and long service life are critical.

Common applications include:

  • Concrete pump lines
  • Ash transfer lines
  • Foundry sand transfer systems
  • Foundry baskets for shot blasting systems
  • Dredging lines for sand and silt transfer
  • Structural components exposed to wear on the outside surface

Hardox® is a trademark of the SSAB group of companies.

What makes Hardox tubes and pipes the best material

Hardox® tubes and pipes combine high hardness with impact toughness, making them suitable for applications exposed to abrasive materials and severe wear.

Hardox® round steel tubes have undergone extensive pressure testing. During testing, Hardox® 400 tubes in all dimensions withstood a peak pressure of 60 MPa (8.70 ksi) for at least six hours. In tests of Hardox® 500 tubes, a peak pressure of 85 MPa (12.33 ksi) was achieved.

Sizes and delivery conditions

Hardox® 400 tubes and pipes are available in outer diameters from 76.1 to 219.1 mm, while Hardox® 500 covers 76.1 to 133.0 mm. Wall thicknesses range from 3.0 to 6.0 mm and standard mill length is 6,000 mm. Hardox® tubes and pipes are delivered in quenched condition, except for diameters above 133 mm, which are delivered in as-rolled condition.

Hardox® 400 Tubes and Hardox® 500 Tubes comply with EN 10210 requirements for dimensional tolerances and testing.
