Abrasion resistant steel

Abrasion resistant steel has extra amounts of carbon and alloying elements such as chromium and manganese to make it more immune to wear than other types of steel. Carbon blocks dislocations, which increases the hardness and strength of the steel and allows for microstructures to form that make forming under heat easier.

Bucket with Hardox®

Hardox® wear plate

Its incomparable hardness and impact strength ensures high productivity, enhanced durability and an extended service life for the product. Hardox® is a trademark of the SSAB group of companies.

Abramax Cr plates

Abramax® Cr

It is a uniquely strong and exceptional product that offers high hardness, impact strength, heat resistance and increased protection in corrosive environments.

Duroxite overlay

Duroxite®

Product range is targeted at different types of wear, such as abrasion, impact, heat, metal-to-metal and erosion wear. Duroxite® is particularly well suited to fighting sliding wear from exceptionally hard particles such as minerals containing quartz.

ROC steel

ROC™

ROC™ wear resistant steel, available in three steel grades, is delivered in quenched condition. This ensures the steel achieves martensitic microstructure, which gives very high hardness. The strictly controlled chemical alloying and hardening process guarantees high wear resistance as well as good impact strength and processing.

crane bucket

ROC™ Mn

ROC Mn contains 11–14 % Manganese, over quenched, fully austenitic. It’s non-magnetic, hardened steel with an exceptionally high level of wear resistance when subjected to impact or high pressure.
